1How it works

of purifying waste gas.


The adsorption performance of activated carbon is influenced by its physical properties,such as specific surface area, 

pore structure, and chemical property, such as surface functional groups.

The larger the specific surface area, the more developed the pore structure, the stronger the adsorption capacity.

At the same time, the functional groups on the surface of activated carbon can also react with some pollutant molecules 

to further enhance the adsorption effect.

2、Technology

    The waste gas treatment process of industrial activated carbon adsorption tower 

usually includes the following steps:


2-1Waste Gas Collection 

     First of all,through the gas cover, pipes and other equipment will be produced in the production process 

of waste gas collection,to avoid direct emissions to the atmosphere.


2-2Pre-treatment

     Pre-treatment is usually required before the waste gas enters the activated carbon adsorption tower.

The main aim of pre-treatment is to remove the large particles, oil mist and other impurities in the waste gas,so as 

to reduce the burden of the activated carbon adsorption tower and improve the adsorption efficiency. 

Pre-treatment equipment includes cyclone dust collector, bag dust collector, wet dust collector, etc...


2-3Adsorption Purification

     After the pre-treatment of waste gas into the activated carbon adsorption tower,and the tower of activated 

carbon in full contact. 

The pollutant molecules in the exhaust gas are attracted by the adsorption sites on the surface of the activated 

carbon and adhere to the surface of the activated carbon,thus realizing the purification of the exhaust gas.

Activated carbon adsorption tower usually adopts multi-layer structure to improve adsorption efficiency 

and treatment capacity.


2-4Desorption and regeneration 

     With the adsorption process, the surface of activated carbon adsorption sites will be gradually occupied,

adsorption capacity gradually reduced. 

In order to restore the adsorption capacity of activated carbon, it is necessary to carry out desorption 

and regeneration treatment. 

Desorption is usually carried out by means of heating, decompression or purging,which will be adsorbed 

on the surface of the pollutants molecules adsorbed down. 

The regenerated activated carbon can be reused in the adsorption process to achieve recycling.


2-5Emission and monitoring

     The exhaust gas after adsorption and purification is discharged into the atmosphere through the discharge pipe. 

In order to ensure that the emissions meet environmental standards,it is usually necessary to monitor the discharge outlets. 

The monitoring content includes such parameters as pollutant concentration in exhaust gas, emission rate and so on.
